Creatives
The following Apple News ad formats are supported using Google Ad Manager. To set up banner and video ads, use image, Google Campaign Manager 360, or other supported third-party ad tags. For native ads, Apple News native creative template is required.

Add creatives
Available creative formats for Google Ad Manager follow the same specifications as the Ad specifications for Apple News. Also refer to Advertising on Apple News content guidelines. for creatives guidelines.
When adding creatives to a line item for Apple News, use the following steps:
- From the main menu, choose Delivery.
- Click Creatives.
- Choose New Creative.
- Input the Advertiser.

Choose the creative upload or the ad tag. See Google’s guidelines on adding creatives. Apple News supports only image, Google Campaign Manager ad tags, and other supported third-party ad tags. For video, Apple News supports only VAST tags. See Google’s guidelines trafficking video creative. Only third-party tags designated for Apple News from approved vendors are supported. Non-supported tags trigger an ad rejection, which may cause ad serving issues within your channel(s). See Apple News Third-party ad tag technical specs for details.

Creative template attribute definitions
The following definitions are for the Apple News-specific attributes found within every Apple News native template.

| AN Line Type | Supported line types: standard or house. Line types impact serving priority. Note that AN Line Type of the creative will override any priority settings at the line level. It is recommended to match the AN Line Type at the creative level with the line type for the parent line. |

| AN Category | Advertiser category for the creative.

Ad destinations
All banner and native (sponsored content) ads must include an ad destination. Ad destinations are optional for video ads.

| Website | Enter a URL for the website where you want to direct users after they tap your ad. |
| Apple Media Products | Enter the app, music, book, or TV show link (URL) for your content, or copy and paste it from your product page. Only app, album, song, movie, episode, season, eBook, and audio book URLs are supported. |
| News Deep Link | Enter the URL for the article or channel that you want to take users to on the Apple News app (https://apple.news/...). |
| Article ID | The article ID is the article that you want to direct users to on the Apple News app. Articles can have no paywall, a soft paywall that suggests readers take an action, or a hard paywall that requires payment in order to view the content.
To obtain an article ID you’ll need to preview the article in Apple News Publisher. Use the article ID as the path of the URL.
In the following example, apple.news is the domain and Agkyw5MsBSCaJXr8T61fKmg is the path.

| Issue ID | The issue ID corresponds to a magazine issue that you want to direct users to on the Apple News app.
To obtain an issue ID you’ll need to preview the issue in Apple News Publisher. Use the issue ID as the path of the URL.

| Subscription | Choose from the list of available channels. Publishers can set the tap destination to allow users to subscribe to their channel(s). In order to set the tap destination as subscription, append /subscription as the path of an Apple News channel’s URL. For example:
