Duplicate campaigns
Save time and accelerate your
campaign launches
Learn how to quickly duplicate existing campaigns for different audiences, seasonal promotions, and more. Duplication can help you get ads up and running faster than if you create new campaigns from scratch.
Keep in mind that you can only duplicate a campaign into an ad placement of the same type. Duplicating a search results campaign will also duplicate the bid strategy, but you can always change the bid strategy if you’d like.
How to duplicate campaigns
- Go to your Campaigns dashboard and select the checkbox next to the campaign that you want to duplicate.
- Click the Duplicate button in the toolbar, which is to the right of the Edit button.
- Choose a campaign name.
- Choose a daily budget. You can keep the original campaign’s daily budget, which will automatically populate, or you can change it.
- Choose what you’d like to include in your duplicated campaign. You can select from ad group keywords and categories, campaign negative keywords, ad group negative keywords, and ads.
- If you’d like to review and adjust campaign and ad group settings before your ads run, set your campaign status to Pause, or schedule it to start on a specific date. If you don’t set a start date, the campaign will run today and can spend if ads serve.
- Click Duplicate.
Once the campaign is duplicated, it will appear on your Campaigns dashboard. From there, you can make any adjustments needed, including changing your daily budget, or entering budget order and invoice details, if applicable.
Keep in mind that duplicated search results keywords and negative keywords will retain their original status and type. You can adjust these after duplication.
