Agency account setup
and management
If you’re an agency, learn how to set up an account to manage your client’s ads on Maps.
1. Sign up for
Apple Business
Go to the Apple Business website and click Get Started. Add your organization details, including your agency’s name, address, and business email. Then select the checkbox next to “This is an agency or third-party partner.” Confirm that you are an agency or third-party partner by clicking Continue. Review and agree to the Apple Business Terms of Service. Then enter the information requested to verify your agency’s identity.
Your client will need to sign up for Apple Business as an organization.
2. Claim locations and
add brands
Your client will need to add and claim their business locations and add their brands to their organization in Apple Business. They can also add their brand logo.
3. Delegate brands to
the agency
Your client will need to choose which brands to delegate to your agency in order for you to manage ads on their behalf. Only the roles of Global Admin or Marketing Admin are able to delegate. One of these roles will need to sign in to Apple Business, click their organization name in the upper-right corner, then choose Settings from the dropdown menu. In the navigation menu on the left, they need to expand Integrations and click Partner Access.
In the Partner’s Organization ID field, your client will need to enter your Organization ID. To find this number, you need to sign in to Apple Business, click your organization name in the upper-right corner, choose Settings from the dropdown menu, then click Organization in the left navigation menu. You’ll see your Organization ID under Details. Send this number to your client to enter in the Partner’s Organization ID field on the Partner Access page.
Under Brand and Feature Access, your client will need to select Ads on Maps. Then under Brand Access, they can choose which brands to delegate to your agency for ad management. After they click Invite, you’ll receive a message to the business email that you entered when you signed up for Apple Business. Click Sign In at the bottom of the email to confirm the delegation process.
4. Sign up for Apple Ads
Once you’ve been delegated to manage your client’s ads on Maps, sign up for Apple Ads. (Note that your client does not need to create an Apple Ads account.) You’ll be prompted to select the Apple Business organizations that you want to link to your Apple Ads account. Click Get Started to complete the linking process.
Review and accept the Apple Advertising Services Terms of Service and complete the Business Details page with your billing information. Some of your account settings and business information will populate based on the information that you entered in Apple Business. If your account is eligible for a line of credit, an Apple Ads client partner will contact you directly.
You can now use Apple Ads to create, manage, and run your client’s campaigns on Maps.
