Using assets in
ad creatives

Customize ad creatives with
relevant assets

Your ads on Maps use ad creatives, which are sets of assets and promotional text that can be tailored to different themes or search terms.

There are two types of assets within an ad creative: images and logos. Images are photos of your business and your offerings, while a logo is the business logo you added in your Apple Business Brand Profile. You can either choose to add up to three images or a single logo — you can’t add both images and a logo to an ad creative. You must select at least one asset in order to run ads on Maps.

To access your assets, select Creative Library in the left navigation menu, then click the Assets tab to see all of your assets and their details at a glance.

How to add an asset to the
Creative Library

  1. Select Campaigns in the left navigation menu.
  2. Click the Assets tab.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Enter the brand that you want this asset to promote.
  5. Choose to upload a new image or to import an existing one from Apple Business. All images must adhere to the Apple Advertising Policies and Apple Business photo guidelines.
  6. Click Add.

Manage your assets

You can add assets to your Creative Library, edit them, view their details, and more. Select Creative Library from the left navigation menu, then click the Assets tab. You can:

  • Add an asset by uploading a new image or selecting an existing one that you added to Apple Business.
  • View asset details like the brand it’s promoting, if it’s being used in an ad creative, its usage details, and the date that it was added.
  • Filter your assets by brand, ad creative name, and usage.
  • Quickly use an asset in an ad creative by selecting the asset and clicking Use in an Ad Creative in the toolbar. You can select up to 3 assets promoting the same brand.
  • Delete an asset by clicking the asset name, then selecting Delete. If you delete an asset that’s being used in an ad creative, any ads that use that ad creative may be paused.
